Summary
Join our client, a creative technology company, as a Motion Graphics Designer to produce high-quality motion graphics for digital and social media advertising campaigns. You will conceptualize, design, and produce engaging visuals, collaborating with the marketing team. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of animation principles, design trends, and brand messaging translation. This is a fully remote position with a 9 AM - 5 PM EST schedule. You will create eye-catching motion graphics and animations, develop storyboards, and optimize animations for various platforms. The role requires strong communication and teamwork skills, along with proficiency in Adobe After Effects and other design software.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Motion Graphics, Animation, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- 3+ years of experience in motion graphics design, with a focus on advertising content
- Portfolio demonstrating strong motion design skills and creative thinking
- Expert proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong understanding of animation principles, typography, and composition
- Knowledge of video editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro)
- Familiarity with current social media platform specifications and requirements
- Understanding of HTML5 animation and interactive ad standards
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication abilities and teamwork orientation
- Up-to-date knowledge of design trends and advertising best practices
- Adobe After Effects (advanced)
- Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (advanced)
- Cinema 4D or similar 3D software
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Basic understanding of UI/UX principles
- Knowledge of video compression and export formats
- Understanding of responsive design principles
Responsibilities
- Create eye-catching motion graphics and animations for advertising campaigns across multiple platforms (social media, web, blog, etc.)
- Develop storyboards and animatics to effectively communicate concepts to team members
- Design and animate brand elements, typography, and visual effects that align with brand guidelines
- Optimize animations for various platforms and aspect ratios (9:16, 1:1, 16:9, etc.)
- Collaborate with the marketing team to understand project briefs and deliver on team expectations
- Stay current with motion design trends, techniques, and best practices in advertising
- Create templates and systems that allow for efficient scaling of ad creative across multiple formats
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions and pitch concepts for campaigns
- Meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
- Provide guidance on technical specifications and limitations for various ad platforms
