Movement Strategy Lead

Summary

Join Chuffed.org, a global crowdfunding platform, as their Movement Strategy Lead based remotely in Australia. You will serve as a bridge between Chuffed and activists leading social justice movements, embedding the platform deeply within these movements. Your responsibilities include identifying and connecting with key organizers, building relationships, securing introductions within networks, spotting rapid-response opportunities, refining Chuffed's messaging, and providing internal insights to the product team. You will support campaigners post-launch and ensure Chuffed is ready to support major campaigns. This role requires experience in fast-moving teams, entrepreneurial spirit, high initiative, trust-building skills, grit, data-savviness, comfort with ambiguity, and resourcefulness. Requirements

• You’ve got solid experience in fast-moving teams. Whether from tech, startups, or consulting, you know how to turn big ideas into practical action and drive real outcomes
• You’re entrepreneurial. You’ve built something before (even a scrappy side project), or have had incredible impact inside an organisation
• You’ve got high initiative. You test ideas, act fast, and figure things out as you go
• You build trust quickly. Campaigners will know that you are in their corner and genuinely want them to succeed. You know how to build rapport and authentic connection
• You’re gritty and low-ego. You don’t get stuck on your own ideas; you learn, iterate and keep moving
• You’re data-savvy. You look at what’s working, what’s not, and adjust based on evidence
• You’re comfortable with ambiguity. Things will shift quickly as you learn more; you’ll thrive on that
• You’re resourceful. You don’t wait for perfect conditions; you get stuff done

Responsibilities

• Identify and connect with prominent organisers, influencers and grassroots leaders in our next focus movement (e.g., trans rights, First Nations, animal liberation, immigrant/refugee justice)
• Build long-term, trust-based relationships with campaigners learning about their big challenges, collaborating on solutions and ultimately, helping them to launch powerful fundraising campaigns on Chuffed
• Lean on these newly built relationships to secure warm intros within new networks and communities , helping us connect with, and support, even more organisers within the movement
• Spot rapid-response opportunities when moments break (e.g., protests, arrests, raids, disasters, government actions) and quickly help campaigners get fundraising campaigns live - sometimes within hours
• Refine and amplify Chuffed’s values-led messaging helping to shape and spread the message that Chuffed is the only crowdfunding platform built exclusively for social justice movements, encouraging more aligned campaigners to join Chuffed
• Be the voice of our focus movements internally . You’ll have a front-row seat to what the biggest social justice campaigns actually need to win. You’ll take those insights straight to our product team, helping to shape the tools and features that power these movements globally
• Support campaigners post-launch , connecting them with the Chuffed Amplify team who can help get their campaigns in front of our powerful community of Chuffed donors
