Summary

The job is for a MySQL Database Consultant at Pythian. The role involves providing complete support for all aspects of database and application infrastructure to various clients as part of a team-based approach. The candidate should have specialized knowledge in installing, configuring, and upgrading MySQL databases & MySQL Administration. Other required skills include strong ability to work in both a team-oriented environment and under minimal supervision, good customer service focus, disciplined learning process, self-motivation, keen attention to detail, good analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities, effective organizational skills, sound work ethics, very good documentation skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Contribution to Open Source projects relevant to MySQL, MongoDB or other database or infrastructure software is beneficial but not mandatory. Responsibilities

Supply complete support for all aspects of database and application infrastructure to a variety of clients, as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of current IT service standards such as ITIL
• Scripting (bash/python) and Ansible experience is a huge plus
