Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Planning, Engineering/Architecture, Environmental, Finance or related degree. Master’s Degree preferred
  • 15 years of progressively increasing responsibility and experience delivering mitigation projects and programs at the Federal, State, Local, Tribal and Territorial Levels
  • Licensure in Field of Study (i.e. AICP, PE, AIA, CPA)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Experience leading diverse technical and geographic teams

Responsibilities

  • Support the Business Unit Lead in providing high quality, timely, and profitable delivery of the US Mitigation project portfolio
  • Develop, influence and implement a US Mitigation market strategy, utilizing Tidal Basin’s national teams and capabilities
  • Support the BUL by providing recommendations and guidance on a portfolio of projects or programs of significant size, complexity, and significant financial impact
  • Help grow the Mitigation planning, design, grants management, and consulting practice
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the BULs and Regional Vice Presidents (RVP) to share resources, augment capabilities, and bring the best of Tidal Basin to each and every project
  • Support mitigation projects by providing expertise and guidance
  • Support the BULs in identifying new staff for hiring and cross-train existing staff to deliver mitigation projects, fostering a culture of trust, accountability, leadership, and ownership within the organization
  • Support growth of existing clients in partnership with Federal and Consulting & Technology BULs
  • Participate in and help drive innovative workstreams to differentiate Tidal Basin and address market changes, challenges, and opportunities
  • Support production of winning proposals (both technical and cost)
  • Prepare and lead client presentations and interviews
  • Support the refinement of existing delivery strategies to improve predictability, quality, and efficiency
  • Serve as point of escalation for all US mitigation client issues
  • Build US relationships with senior leaders at Federal, State, Local, Territorial, Tribal and commercial entities alongside the Regional Vice Presidents and BULs
  • Attract and secure new mitigation clients and build the opportunity pipeline alongside the RVPs and BULs
  • Travel as-needed to support project, client, and team needs (Estimate 50% of time)
  • Provide thought leadership ideas internally and externally
  • Serve as Mitigation Subject Mater Expert and mentor to projects across the organization
