Summary
Join ZERO TO THREE's dynamic Professional Innovations team as the National Sales Manager, responsible for selling professional development products and services. Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue growth and increase market share. Provide guidance and support to sales team members. Maintain sales records in Salesforce and collaborate with the marketing team. Analyze sales performance metrics to improve effectiveness. This role requires strategic travel across the U.S. and involves presenting at events and conferences. The ideal candidate possesses deep knowledge of the early childhood field, a proven track record in consultative selling, and excellent leadership skills.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5-7 years of outside sales with demonstrated results achieving sales targets, including revenue, new accounts acquired, and pipeline growth
- Strong research and analytical skills and the ability to adjust strategies based on client feedback, market trends, and other influences
- In-depth knowledge of a proven sales process and use of sales techniques and tools, including Salesforce
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to travel as required (estimate up to 50% travel)
- Bachelorโs degree in sales, marketing, economics, or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of ZERO TO THREEโs professional development (PD) products and services to effectively communicate their value to customers and assess the competitive landscape for early childhood development PD
- Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to team and organizational goals
- Provide guidance and support to sales team members to achieve their identified sales targets
- Strategically and creatively manages an opportunity pipeline
- Craft effective sales strategies and utilize a consultative sales approach to promote and sell ZERO TO THREE professional development products and services, building strong relationship with both prospective and established clients
- Track all sales flow information (from prospect/pipeline to close) and maintain all sales-related progress in Salesforce, including accurate records of contacts, leads, opportunities, and transactions
- Collaborate with marketing team to execute targeted cross-selling campaigns
- Monitor and analyze sales and marketing performance metrics to identify trends and make data-driven decisions to improve sales effectiveness
- Foster a positive and collaborative team culture that promotes continuous learning and development
- Participate in exhibiting and presenting at events/conferences hosted by ZERO TO THREE and external organizations
- Strategic travel to clients throughout the U.S. required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling early childhood professional development products and services and/or professional development programs is highly desirable
- Experience and/or additional credentials in business management or customer-facing fields, such as early childhood or adult development desired
