Summary

The National Vice President of Sales will lead and drive all aspects of the new business sales strategy at RethinkEd, a division of RethinkFirst. This role requires 10+ years' experience in direct sales and managing teams in ed tech, extensive travel, and proficiency in selling into the K-12 market.

Requirements

  • 10+ years’ experience in direct sales and managing teams in ed tech
  • Extensive travel required, 80%+ during peak times
  • Experience as a K-12 Account Executive and sales leader at a Software as a Services Ed tech (SaaS) company
  • Direct experience selling into the K-12 market, including ability to lead sales presentations
  • Experience with managing Salesforce as a manager
  • Demonstrated proficiency as a hands-on sales individual who leads by example
  • Proven ability as a thoughtful and analytical driver of all aspects of sales and sales strategy
  • Experience with both the β€˜hunter’ and β€˜farmer’ sales models
  • Intellectually curious; takes initiative to improve people, processes, and tools
  • Ability to create and foster a performance and metrics-focused culture
  • Strong follow-through on commitments, establishing trust with internal and external stakeholders
  • Executive presence and ability to influence at all levels of the sales process, from start to close
  • Strong problem solving and negotiating skills. Gifted communicator, both written and verbal
  • Genuine passion for the mission of the company, and clear compatibility with the core values and the culture

Responsibilities

  • Drive new business sales quota through effective modeling of deployment of all sales cycle activities: including prospecting qualified leads, initiating contact, holding discovery calls, presenting offers, overcoming objections, closing sales, and generating referrals
  • Identify the key prospects that bring the greatest value to the business so that focus is on building strong, strategic territories
  • Utilize existing network of industry contacts to generate new business, as well develop strong partnership with key organizations to maximize company awareness and lead generation
  • Develop and implement a thoughtful sales strategy for driving revenue growth across Rethink’s target markets
  • Help the EVP/GM shape the go-to-market strategy, including establishing a strong sales process, and advising on product pricing, positioning. and value proposition messaging
  • Address market feedback, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to the sales processes in order to optimize results
  • Build and manage an effective sales force capable of meeting and exceeding Rethink’s objectives. Responsibilities include recruiting, selecting, onboarding, and training a team of sales representatives
  • As a sales team leader, manage, develop, coach, and motivate a sales force to ensure that a high standard is achieved and monthly sales targets and KPI targets are met
