Summary

Join VetsEZ as a .Net Developer to contribute to a Department of Veterans Affairs project focused on Data Migration & Syndication within the EHRM-IO. You will design and develop secure, scalable software solutions using various technologies, including C#, .NET, and modern front-end frameworks. Responsibilities include application development, testing, deployment, and maintenance, along with collaboration on gap analysis and implementation of enhancements. You will utilize tools like GitHub and Azure DevOps and follow Agile SDLC best practices. The role requires proficiency in several programming languages and database technologies, along with experience in secure environment setup and interface creation. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • Proficiency with C#, .NET, SQL, Python, PowerBI DAX, JavaScript, Visual Studio, and relevant libraries/frameworks
  • Experience with database design, indexing, and working with MS SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, etc
  • Experience creating secure interfaces with InterSystems IRIS or HealthShare
  • Experience setting up secure environments, including SSL/TLS certificate management
  • Familiarity with DevOps, Kubernetes, Fortify, OpenAPI (Swagger), Postman, and CI/CD pipelines

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop secure, scalable software solutions using C#, .NET Core/Framework, ASP.NET, MVC, and modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular, jQuery)
  • Develop, test, deploy, and maintain applications, APIs (SOAP, REST), and interfaces (IRIS, InterSystems, HealthShare)
  • Write clean, documented, and well-commented code; conduct unit testing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
  • Collaborate with Architects to perform gap analysis and implement enhancements for metadata, change management, and data integration
  • Use tools such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, and MS SharePoint for version control, documentation, and collaboration
  • Perform integration and performance testing; monitor applications in IIS, manage configurations, and deploy to production
  • Follow Agile SDLC best practices; proactively identify and mitigate development risks
  • Stay current with new technologies; contribute to implementing Large Language Models (LLMs) where applicable
  • Ensure secure environment setup (SSL/TLS) and manage certificates as needed
  • Create interfaces using secure Web Services, REST, or other mechanisms for InterSystems IRIS or HealthShare
  • Maintain and update existing codebases, resolve bugs, and ensure code remains secure and up to date
  • Participate in peer reviews to maintain high-quality development standards
  • Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure the success of the project

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with SAS, ArcGIS, Tableau, Eclipse, Bootstrap, DevExpress, PrimeNG, SSIS, SSMS, Microsoft Threat Modeling Tool, Visual Studio Code or any other relevant tools
  • Experience in the VA or other federal organizations desired
  • Experience with Data Migration and Data Syndication within the VA desired
  • Ability to obtain government clearance
