Network Security Operations Engineer

Summary

Join Experian, a world-leading information services company, as a Network Security Operations Engineer Expert. This permanent, home-based role in Costa Rica requires at least 5 years of security experience with expertise in WAFs, IPS, and next-generation firewalls (Fortinet, Checkpoint). You will deploy and maintain cloud WAFs, migrate legacy firewall equipment, provide SME expertise on security incidents, configure IPS, collaborate on security policies, analyze logs, conduct security assessments, maintain documentation, and provide technical support. Intermediate Python proficiency is required, along with AWS experience and DevOps tool familiarity. Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in security, with a focus on WAF, IPS, and Next Generation Firewalls
• Intermediate proficiency in Python programming is required
• Proficiency in managing Fortinet, Checkpoint or Palo Alto Firewalls is required
• AWS cloud services experience
• Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, or similar

Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain Cloud Web Application Firewalls to protect web applications from security threats
• Perform migrations of legacy firewall equipment to next generation firewalls like Fortinet and Checkpoint
• Provide SME expertise on security incidents, audits, and high priority escalations
• Configure and maintain Intrusion Prevention Systems to detect and prevent security breaches
• Collaborate with the security team to enforce security policies and procedures
• Analyze security logs to identify and respond to potential security incidents
• Conduct regular security assessments, review vulnerability scans to meet audit requirements
• Maintain documentation for security configurations, processes, and procedures
• Provide technical support and guidance to other team members on security-related issues

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within the Agile framework is beneficial
• Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or AWS Certified Security are beneficial
• Experience troubleshooting different network environments
