Summary

Join Cycling Weekly's news team as a part-time, remote-based reporter! Reporting to the News Editor, you will create engaging digital and print content covering news, racing, tech, fitness, and general cycling participation. You will develop and pursue story ideas, leverage trustworthy sources, and share your unique perspective on cycling. The role requires experience in news and feature writing, in-depth cycling knowledge, and the ability to work quickly and flexibly. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract offering uncapped leave, profit sharing, referral bonuses, wellbeing support, and a share incentive plan.

Requirements

  • Experience writing news and features
  • In-depth knowledge of cycling
  • Be able to work quickly and flexibly - sometimes including unsociable hours
  • Understanding of content needs for online writing, including use of CMSs, SEO and social media
  • Flexibility to travel to events

Responsibilities

  • Produce interesting and inspiring digital and print editorial content across news, racing and tech, but also fitness and general participation
  • Originate and pursue lines of enquiry through trustworthy sources
  • Add your fresh take or opinion on cycling stories and post to our social media platforms to generate engagement and referrals
