Summary

Join Marqeta as an Onboarding Project Manager in the UK and work with customers to onboard their card programs onto the Marqeta platform. You will coordinate multiple internal and external workstreams, acting as the primary Marqeta contact during the launch process. This flexible role can be performed remotely anywhere in the UK or from our London office. You will collaborate with customers, payment networks, and internal teams to ensure successful program delivery, maintain strong customer relationships, and utilize project management tools to meet deadlines. The ideal candidate possesses significant customer-facing project management experience within the payments industry, specifically card issuing, and a strong understanding of APIs and technical environments. Requirements

  • Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience
  • Significant experience in customer-facing project delivery/management roles
  • Being comfortable with working in a fast-paced and technical environment
  • Understanding of the payments ecosystem
  • Great organisational skills. Proven ability to prioritise, manage, and deliver multiple complex projects on time
  • Highly self-motivated and feels at home working aggressive schedules
  • Able to build strong working relationships across multiple teams
  • At home and ease with technology, product, legal, B2B technology applications and how technology platforms serve customer businesses
  • Superior communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, presentation, written, email)
  • Positive attitude, work ethic and high integrity. A team player who is adaptable, resourceful, and a self-starter who can work independently
  • Works on problems of moderate scope, which are often varied and routine, where analysis of situations or data requires a review of various factors
  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
  • Applies learned techniques and contributes to analysis and investigation to solve problems
  • Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work and general instructions on new assignments
  • Payments Industry knowledge is required for the role with a particular focus on the card-issuing side
  • Understanding of Visa and Mastercard
  • Strong understanding of API applications and technical environments

Responsibilities

  • Work with our customers, payment networks, banks, vendors, and multiple cross-functional teams to successfully deliver our customers’ programs
  • Ensure Marqeta’s modern card issuing tools and infrastructure are in place and keep managing customers' requirements
  • Build relationships with our customers and spend time with them, learning how our tools are integrated into what they do to delight their customers
  • Use predictable and proven project management tools and methodologies to ensure our customers' projects are delivered on time and to an exceptional standard
  • Develop deep relationships within Marqeta to ensure we’re doing all we can to get our customers where they need to be quickly, predictably, and reliably
  • Communicate often and openly with other teams to resolve blockers quickly
  • Maintaining internal records consistently up to date to ensure program progresses are tracked
