Online Learning Advisor

Summary

Join QUT Online as an Online Learning Adviser (OLA) and make a positive impact on student learning. This 100% remote role offers flexible hours and a paid training course. As an OLA, you'll deliver academic content, facilitate learning activities, and assess student work. You'll need a Master's degree in Career Development and Counselling (or similar) recognized by CICA, experience in career counselling, and strong communication skills. This opportunity allows you to utilize your expertise, develop your online teaching skills, and be part of a supportive team.

Requirements

• Hold a minimum of Masters of Career Development and Counselling, or Masters of Education (Career Development and Counselling Specialisation) or similar, and must be recognised as a specialist qualification by CICA
• Experience running career counselling/development sessions in a one on one environment, preferably across a range of client cohorts (Primary, Secondary, Higher Ed and Community)
• Knowledge of the Australian education system or ability to acquire this in timely manner
• High level of spoken and written English
• Be motivated by student success and passionate about online learning
• Be a passionate and clear communicator
• Have strong presentation skills and the ability to maintain an engaging and positive online presence
• Be proactive and organised
• Thrive in a remote working environment

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional student experience through the delivery of academic content developed by our partner academics and our learning design team
• Facilitate learning activities that engage and support student learning
• Undertake assessment tasks (including moderation, marking, and feedback) as well as processing and submitting results according to set timelines

Preferred Qualifications
