Operations Engineer

Requirements

• 3+ years in IT operations or system administration, with a strong focus on Linux environments
• Proficiency in Linux command-line operations and shell scripting (Bash, Python, etc.)
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems and basic administrative tasks
• Experience with automation tools, job scheduling (Cron, Task Scheduler), and monitoring solutions
• Knowledge of version control (Git), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS ideal)
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines
• Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve issues in real time
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for collaboration and documentation
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Responsibilities

• Monitor, manage, and troubleshoot daily operational jobs in Linux and Windows environments
• Ensure the timely execution of batch jobs, scripts, and other scheduled processes
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and IT teams to enhance processes
• Focus on continuous improvement, automating repetitive tasks, and optimizing workflows
• Maintain documentation for operational processes and provide after-hours support as needed
