Summary
Join DeleteMe's Privacy Operations team as an OSINT Researcher and become a key resource, conducting thorough open-source investigations using public, social media, and deep/dark web resources. Enhance DeleteMe's scan and risk assessment capabilities, inform product development, and act as a subject matter expert for data privacy. This six-month fixed-term contract offers the potential for a full-time position based on performance. You will utilize advanced search techniques and OSINT tools, identify threats and trends, and deliver high-quality research products. Your expertise will assist in managing escalations and auditing documentation for accuracy. This role requires proven OSINT experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and familiarity with various tools and technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree preferred- ideally with a concentration in Cybersecurity or Information Technology
- Proven experience (1β3 years) in OSINT or a related field
- A passion for privacy protection, with professional qualifications preferred (eg. SANS SEC487, OSINT Academy or OSINT Foundation certification)
- Power user of relevant tools in the following areas: Data Collection, Social Media Analysis, Geolocation/ Mapping and Network Analysis
- Experience using investigative tooling such as Maltego, Spiderfoot or Shodan
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills, with a strong attention to detail
- Good interpersonal skills, able to coherently communicate verbally and in writing
- Adaptability, able to keep up in a fast moving, dynamic workplace
- Familiarity with G Suite tools (Gmail, Google Sheets etc.)
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough open-source investigations using public, social media, and deep/dark web resources
- Utilize advanced search techniques and OSINT tools for data collection and analysis
- Identify threats, trends, and patterns in public data relevant to organizational objectives
- Deliver findings in high quality research products for internal and external use
- Act as subject matter expert for data privacy, fielding ad hoc operational requests from Revenue, Product and Privacy Operations teams
- Assist in managing escalations for high priority customer issues
- Audit internal and external documentation for accuracy, updating as required
