OSP Engineer

Summary

Utilities One. is seeking a qualified OSP Engineer to work remotely on various projects. The engineer will be responsible for creating designs using Bentley Vi8/Lumen NDS system, engineering all types of fiber routes, and determining the best pathway for cable placement. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 3 years of experience in Lumen NDS are required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, environmental science, urban planning)
• A minimum of 3 years of experience working in Lumen NDS

Responsibilities

• Create designs in Bentley Vi8/Lumen NDS system from provided AutoCAD drawings
• Create complex network designs and splice diagrams at splice locations utilizing numerous layers in NDS
• Engineer all aerial, underground & inside fiber routes
• Perform all aspects of OSP engineering including but not limited to the engineering of feeder and distribution, F1, F2, line extensions, new service orders, pole replacements, pole loading, facility installations, and make ready
• Determine the best pathway for cable placement and inform the designer of any roadblocks while identifying other utilities that may be in conflict
