Summary

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, 5+ years of experience in paraplanning, and knowledge of Australian financial services. RG146 or a Diploma of Financial Planning is also required. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a paraplanning or financial advice support role
- Sound knowledge of Australian financial services, including superannuation, insurance, investments, and regulatory frameworks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); exposure to Xplan or CRM platforms is advantageous
- RG146 or a Diploma of Financial Planning
- High ethical standards and attention to client confidentiality
- Prior experience supporting Australian Financial Advisers
Responsibilities
- Assist with client onboarding, KYC verification, fact-finding, and collection of personal and financial data
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive and professional service
- Prepare and follow up on meeting notes, summaries, and action items
- Respond to client queries regarding advice documents, implementation status, and general updates
- Conduct research and analysis on superannuation, insurance, investments, tax strategies, and retirement planning
- Prepare compliant and high-quality Statements of Advice (SOAs), Records of Advice (ROAs), and strategy documentation
- Perform insurance needs assessments and liaise with insurers for quotations and pre-assessments
- Model cash flows, insurance cover, and investment performance scenarios using financial planning tools
- Ensure all advice documentation complies with ASIC, FASEA, and internal quality assurance standards
- Coordinate the implementation of financial strategies, including product applications and transitions
- Support account openings, insurance applications, rollovers, and investment switches
- Track the progress of client strategies and follow up with product providers and clients accordingly
- Maintain and update CRM systems (e.g., Xplan, Plutosoft, Zoho) and ensure client records are compliant and current
- Draft and coordinate compliance documentation including FDSs, ongoing service agreements, and fee consents
- Contribute to refining paraplanning workflows, templates, and internal processes
- Stay current with regulatory changes, product developments, and industry best practices
