Summary
Join Deel as a Payroll Product Specialist and play a key role in launching payroll products in new countries. You will ensure compliance with local tax legislation and lead the implementation process. Collaborate with various teams, including country compliance, local experts, product teams, and architects. Key responsibilities include payroll implementation and expansion, advisory pack analysis, building requirements definition, identifying new system requirements, project management, bureau configuration, country build approval, compliance and quality assurance, documenting configurations, and post go-live handover. The role requires a payroll qualification with at least three years of experience in payroll configuration and working with multifunctional teams. Requirements
- Payroll Qualification with a minimum (3) years of experience actively involved in payroll configuration
- Experience in working with multifunctional teams
- Ability to analyze, interpret and question information received from Advisory
Responsibilities
- Lead payroll product implementation and expansion in new countries, ensuring compliance with local regulations and successful product launch
- Analyze advisory packs and hold meetings to clarify legislative compliance requirements
- Define and document functional and legislative build requirements with Payroll BAs
- Identify and escalate new system requirements for country-specific needs
- Manage task delivery and communicate any delays to ensure timely project completion
- Collaborate to create specifications and development tickets for payroll calculations and features
- Ensure product delivery aligns with country-specific requirements and resolve compliance issues
- Work with BAs and QA to ensure project builds meet legislative compliance standards
- Document and create training materials for country build
- Conduct post-deployment meetings to the relevant stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years of working experience in back-end configuration
- 3 years working experience with programming language calculations
- An understanding of Payroll elements and codes
- Configuring formulas & categorization of pay elements
- Configuration and maintenance of statutory rates and tables
- Configuration and maintenance of country-specific fields
- Intermediate Excel Skills (lookups, formulas, concatenating etc.)
- Experience with a report writing tool
- An understanding of country specific legislative concepts
