Summary

Join VetsEZ as a remote Pega Developer and contribute to the development and maintenance of applications on the Pega platform. Collaborate with a team to design and implement solutions, leveraging your expertise in front- and back-end programming (Java, JavaScript) and relational databases. This role requires advanced Pega experience, strong Java skills, and a deep understanding of Pega architecture. Requirements

  • Possess an advanced degree in an Engineering discipline or related field, with at least 7 years of hands-on experience in Pega PRPC v7.x/v8.x application development, including case management
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of Java development experience, along with strong object-oriented analysis, design, and troubleshooting skills
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of Pega architecture, Direct Capture of Objectives (DCO), integrations (REST/SOAP APIs), and full PRPC implementation cycles, including enterprise Class Structure and Ruleset design
  • Show proven experience in designing and developing process-based solutions, BPM systems, and working with Pega rules and features such as Flows, Activities, User Interfaces, Agents, SLA, and Connectors
  • Reside within the continental US

Responsibilities

  • Develop software using the Pega platform to support a large-scale IT system and deliver high-quality solutions within planned sprint timelines as part of an Agile SAFe delivery team
  • Complete Pega development stories and tasks within each sprint, participating in activities such as Epic, Story, and Task elaboration to maximize feature utilization and deliver optimal products
  • Collaborate with solution architects and Business Analysts to ensure architecture compliance, meet security requirements, and adhere to design and development standards
  • Support continuous integration by writing code/scripts, creating CI/CD pipelines, automating workflows, and maintaining infrastructure
  • Test, debug, and monitor application performance using Pega’s built-in tools, including performance monitors, database traces, and logs/alerts
  • Ensure compliance with government policies, privacy standards, and 508 accessibility requirements while maintaining secure system programs and UI code
  • Engage with stakeholders and clients, leveraging excellent communication skills to present solutions and gather feedback
  • Integrate databases, legacy software, and online services to streamline processes and deliver seamless solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have Pega Healthcare Foundation framework experience
  • Possess knowledge of Kubernetes, container orchestration tools, and CI/CD pipelines for Pega deployment
  • Have experience with Pega cloud or public cloud platforms and Pega Deployment Manager
  • Be proficient in creating requirement specifications, detailing processes, and implementing Pega design and coding best practices
  • Possess a strong ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with program management and cross-functional teams
  • Have the ability to obtain a government clearance
