Summary

Join Backbase's fast-paced global GTM team as a Senior Product Marketing Manager, focusing on Retail Banking & Wealth. You will be the product knowledge facilitator, ensuring successful go-to-market execution and up-to-date product information. Key responsibilities include becoming a subject matter expert, creating differentiated positioning and messaging, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will build go-to-market strategies, manage content creation, and partner with sales enablement. The role requires a deep understanding of customer needs and market trends, along with strong communication and strategic thinking skills. Success in this role demands a self-starter attitude and effective project management capabilities.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in IT, Business or Marketing
  • 4+ years of experience in product marketing or related area in multi-use case, B2B platforms and/or SaaS (E.g. Mambu, Adyen, Salesforce, Pega, Appian, Atlassian, OutSystems, Mendix, ServiceNow, etc)
  • Native or native-level, writing, and presentation skills, as well as the ability to persuade, inspire and motivate others
  • Ability to grasp complex, technical subjects and make them easy to understand

Responsibilities

  • Build a deep understanding of our customersโ€™ pains and needs, the market, lines of business and the competition across all the regions in which Backbase does business
  • Create Go-To-Market strategies and plans for your area and work with stakeholders across the company to bring them to life (marketing, partners, sales, services, product)
  • Define segmentation, use cases/scenarios, buyer personas and value propositions and use them to build repeatable sales plays aligned to specific lines of business
  • Manage and create content to support Retail Banking & Wealth motions including whitepapers, solution briefs, presentations, customer success stories, blog posts, ebooks, webinars, and more
  • Partner with Sales Enablement to develop effective materials and tools to support the sales process
  • Work with the product team to uncover new markets, scenarios and use cases, define new offers and influence roadmap decisions
  • Validate hypotheses through customer interviews, analyst inquiries, data analysis, and testing
  • Locate and leverage market trends and product opportunities to help improve Backbaseโ€™s offer and position
  • Watch competitive activities, identifying gaps and opportunities

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in banking / financial services / fintech
