Summary

Join Andesite, a cybersecurity startup, as their People Lead to build and scale their HR infrastructure. You will manage the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, and build foundational talent management practices. You will also manage compensation and benefits, shape company culture, and identify areas for automation and improvement. This role requires 5+ years of progressive HR/People Ops experience in high-growth startups. You will need strong HRIS platform experience and proven success as a strategic partner to leadership. Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive HR/People Ops experience, ideally at high-growth startups (Seed to Series B)
  • Proven success as a strategic partner to leadership, aligning people strategies and execution with organizational objectives
  • Strong experience with HRIS platforms, including payroll, HR, compliance, and benefits workflows
  • Operational expertise, proven track record of process improvement, documentation and systems integrations
  • Comfortable operating in a remote-first environment, with a history of building trust across distributed teams
  • Impressively strong analytical, organizational and facilitation skills
  • Proven experience managing a diverse group of team members including W2 employees, contractors, and freelancers
  • Forward-thinking tech savviness with experience with tools such as Google Workspace, Pave, Greenhouse, HRIS software, Slack and more. Hands-on experience with various compliance tools that ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to evolving needs of a high-growth company
  • Incredibly trustworthy with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle beginning at onboarding - HR operations processes, offboarding, and compliance
  • Oversee daily workflow, including payroll, HRIS/Insperity administration, and records management
  • Manage and improve people systems and external HR vendors to support a scalable People infrastructure
  • Build and scale foundational talent management practices
  • Serve as a point of contact for HR-related employee questions
  • Support and help resolve employee relations issues as they arise
  • Coach employees and managers through difficult conversations
  • Manage our benefits program, including annual reporting, running open enrollment, and supporting employees
  • Partner with the Senior Leadership Team to shape compensation and benefits strategies that support attraction and retention
  • Assist in designing and implementing practices, policies, and plans that will enhance the company's culture and promote our Operating Principles
  • Support the company’s Management Advisory Group to ensure it thrives as a venue for employees to propose initiatives and shape the culture
  • Identify areas to automate and leverage technology to scale
  • Improve operational efficiencies and data-driven decisions by implementing systems for streamlined HR administration and workforce analytics

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience at a cybersecurity or defense tech startup
  • Experience with international employment, including managing contractors or utilizing an Employer of Record (EOR) service
  • Experience building foundational programs like career leveling, compensation frameworks, and manager training
  • Experience leveraging people analytics to provide strategic insights to leadership
