PHP Developer

Summary

Join Hostinger as a Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain backend systems and APIs using PHP. Collaborate with the front-end team and other stakeholders to ensure seamless data exchange and a smooth user experience. Extensive PHP experience is required, with bonus points for Laravel.

Requirements

• Extensive PHP experience (bonus points for Laravel)
• Understanding of OOP principles & proper code design
• Unit testing and end-to-end testing
• Knowledge of REST API, SQL, and any ORM
• Basic experience in Javascript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3 (SASS), Web pack/NPM/Gulp
• Familiarity with the Git versioning system
• Knowledge of message queueing technologies, like RabbitMQ, PubSub, and Kafka
• Familiarity with application containerization technologies, like Docker

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems and APIs using PHP
• Collaborate with front-end developers and other team members to define API requirements
• Optimize APIs for performance, scalability, and security
• Implement data storage solutions and database management
• Integrate third-party APIs and services as needed
• Ensure proper documentation of APIs for internal and external use
• Monitor and troubleshoot backend services to identify and resolve issues
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in backend development
• Deliver high-quality code solutions and make decisions on product architecture
• Write clear, scalable, and tested code that creates actual business value
• Share feedback with your peers
