Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a PHP Developer, with a focus on backend development
• Strong proficiency in PHP and PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter
• Experience with MySQL or other relational databases, including schema design and query optimization
• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git for code management and collaboration
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex backend issues
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring code quality and reliability
• Ability to write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment
• Basic understanding of frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for integration purposes

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain server-side logic using PHP frameworks
• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable PHP code adhering to coding standards and best practices
• Design, implement, and manage relational databases, primarily MySQL, including schema creation, data migration, and query optimization
• Develop and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers to support application functionality
• Ensure data integrity and implement robust data validation, storage, and retrieval mechanisms
• Conduct regular database performance tuning, optimization, and capacity planning
• Design and develop RESTful APIs and web services for application functionalities and third-party integrations
• Document and maintain API specifications, ensuring comprehensive and up-to-date information for internal and external use
• Implement security measures for APIs, including authentication, authorization, and data encryption
• Integrate backend logic with frontend components, ensuring smooth data flow and functionality alignment
• Collaborate with frontend developers to troubleshoot integration issues and optimize application performance
• Support frontend teams by providing backend endpoints and functionalities required for user interfaces
• Analyze application performance metrics and implement optimizations to improve response times and resource utilization
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks, ensuring efficient processing and minimal latency in backend operations
• Implement caching strategies and techniques to enhance application speed and performance
• Diagnose and debug complex backend issues, applying effective problem-solving techniques to resolve them
• Conduct root cause analysis of recurring issues and implement preventive measures to avoid future occurrences
• Maintain comprehensive logs and reports of issues, resolutions, and system changes
• Participate in peer code reviews, providing constructive feedback to enhance code quality and adherence to best practices
• Write and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests to ensure code robustness and reliability
• Implement and maintain continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate testing and deployment processes
• Document development processes, system architecture, and code changes thoroughly for future reference and knowledge sharing
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, release notes, and API guides
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and data privacy laws in all backend operations
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, frontend development, and quality assurance, to align backend development with overall project goals
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates on backend development progress, issues, and solutions
• Participate in team meetings, providing insights, sharing knowledge, and contributing to discussions on project planning and problem-solving
