Physician Assistant

Summary

The job is for a full-time Physician Assistant at Miga, a virtual cardiometabolic clinic. The PA will evaluate and manage patients with various cardiometabolic conditions via telehealth. The ideal candidate should have multiple active state licenses, preferably one in Texas, and 3+ years of experience in primary care or related fields.

Requirements

• Multiple active state licenses
• 3+ years of experience in primary care (family practice or internal medicine), Cardiology, or Endocrinology

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, prediabetes, overweight, and obesity using evidence-based and patient-centered medicine
• Complete at least 32-hours synchronous video visits with Miga patients per week
• Prepare for visits by reading chart notes from the rest of a patient’s multidisciplinary team
• Clearly and concisely document video visits within 24 hours in a charting template
• Order and interpret labs and other diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and interpret home monitoring data
