Remote Physician Coder

Summary

The job is for a remote Physician Coder responsible for reviewing and accurately coding professional services. The candidate should have at least 3 years of Hem/Onc Coding experience, complete relevant certified programs, and possess additional skills in Microsoft Office and healthcare systems. Requirements

• A minimum of a high-school diploma, Associates Degree preferred
• Successful completion of at least one AHIMA or AAPC certified program with achievement of the correlating professional credential (CCS, CPC, etc.)
• Active and in good standing for the achieved professional credential
• A CPC or CCS-P certification is required, and CHONC certification preferred, for this position. The CPC-A is not accepted
• Minimum 3 years physician Hem/Onc Coding, including E/M leveling and chemo and infusion coding. Including CPT and ICD-10 coding
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Windows and healthcare information and billing systems

Responsibilities

Review and accurately code all professional services including evaluation and management, diagnostics and procedures in compliance with applicable Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payer guidelines

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working remotely is preferred but not required
