Platform Architect

Summary

Join Vonage as a Platform Architect and become part of an architecture team collaborating across multiple product lines and with hundreds of engineers. You will work with engineering teams, product managers, and other architects to shape the direction of internal platforms across the enterprise. Leveraging a wide range of technologies and patterns, including cloud technologies (primarily AWS), you will ensure the architecture supports business needs while enhancing operational maturity and efficiency. This role requires strong technical skills, experience in platform engineering, and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong soft skills, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in platform engineering
• Very strong technical skills across a broad suite of technologies
• Experience working with cloud technologies. AWS is essential

Responsibilities

• Work with engineering teams, product managers and other architects to help set the direction for internal platforms across the enterprise
• Shape the architecture to support the needs of the business while bringing operational maturity and efficiency

Preferred Qualifications

• Bringing knowledge of scalable platforms in a regulated environment where data privacy is essential
• Experience operating in a similar technical lead role
• Seeing the bigger picture and grasping the full scope of the business
• Being a strong advocate for Agile and Lean engineering practices
• Having a drive to always leave things better than how you found them: code, processes, documentation, interactions with people and every other aspect of your work life
• Living in fair proximity of our office (Wrocław, Poland)
