Requirements

• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Strong scripting and programming skills in languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation, infrastructure as code (IaC), and scripting tasks
• Proficient with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
• Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet for managing infrastructure configurations
• Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices and tools such as Jenkins or Github
• Understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and VPN technologies
• Proficiency in monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog
• Strong understanding of security best practices and experience implementing security controls within cloud environments
• Knowledge of database technologies such as SQL and NoSQL databases, including configuration, optimization, and replication strategies

Responsibilities

• Design and architect multi-cloud-based infrastructure and services that meet performance, availability, and security requirements
• Automate deployment and configuration processes to ensure consistency, reliability, and scalability
• Optimize containerized workloads for performance, scalability, and resource efficiency
• Design CI/CD pipelines to automate software build, test, and deployment processes
• Configure dashboards and reports to track key metrics, identify trends, and troubleshoot issues proactively
• Respond to incidents and outages, performing root cause analysis and implementing remediation actions
• Implement security controls and best practices to protect infrastructure, data, and applications from threats and vulnerabilities
• Monitor resource utilization and performance metrics to identify optimization opportunities and prevent capacity constraints, incorporating financial operations (FinOps) to manage cloud spending effectively
• Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in cloud computing and platform engineering. Evaluate new tools, services, and methodologies to improve platform capabilities, performance, and efficiency
