Summary

Join FAIRTIQ's Platform team and contribute to the reliability, scalability, and developer experience of our systems supporting 1 million+ active monthly users. You will design, build, and maintain core infrastructure and platform tooling, build self-service automation and deployment strategies, and help instrument services for observability. Optimize system performance, cost efficiency, and resiliency while guiding engineers on best practices. Support incident response and postmortems, collaborating with various teams to ensure platform solutions meet needs. This role requires a strong grasp of cloud-native architectures and distributed systems and experience with infrastructure automation.

Requirements

  • BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
  • At least 4 years of professional experience as a Platform, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineer
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms (preferably AWS), containers and orchestration (Kubernetes)
  • Experience with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools
  • Comfortable writing clean, maintainable scripts and automation in languages such as Python, Bash, or Go
  • Solid understanding of networking, Linux internals, and systems performance
  • Familiarity with observability and monitoring stacks (e.g. Grafana, Prometheus, OpenSearch)
  • Proactive, organized, and communicative β€” you enjoy collaborating across disciplines
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Europe based candidates

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain core infrastructure and platform tooling that supports FAIRTIQ’s growing ecosystem
  • Build self-service automation and deployment strategies across multiple environments (Staging, Production, etc.)
  • Help instrument services for observability using modern tools (e.g., OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Optimize system performance, cost efficiency, and resiliency
  • Guide engineers on best practices for system design, security, and operations
  • Support a culture of ownership and incident learning by contributing to incident response and postmortems
  • Collaborate with mobile, backend, and data teams to ensure platform solutions fit product and engineering needs
