Platform Engineer

Summary

Join TIMOCOM as a Platform Engineer and contribute to a team responsible for platform cloud solutions. Work remotely or utilize flexible office spaces. Your responsibilities include deploying and operating platform services, developing and maintaining the internal Kubernetes-based platform, implementing and improving CI/CD pipelines, using Infrastructure-as-Code tools, and handling monitoring and incident management. You will collaborate with architects and application managers. Requirements

• Bring several years of professional experience in development with Terraform and Kubernetes
• Have very good English skills (from C1) or German skills (from C1) to communicate well in your team
• Have a high level of quality awareness – especially with regard to clean code, usability, Terraform state drifts, DRY code, and functioning CI/CD
• Have in-depth knowledge in the use of hyperscalers (Azure preferred), Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring with Grafana & Prometheus
• Have an interest in further training in the area of cloud & multitenancy architecture and GitOps
• Be characterized by your strong problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the provision and operation of various platform services according to the platform engineering approach
• Further develop the internal Kubernetes-based platform and ensure maintenance and operation
• Be responsible for the implementation, operation, and improvement of CI/CD pipelines for efficient and automated software provisioning
• Use Infrastructure-as-Code (IAC) tools such as Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and configuration
• Operate monitoring and incident handling in the platform's cloud infrastructure
• Discover and test new technologies and (cloud) services
• Work closely with our architects and application managers to develop, deploy, and operate applications
