Platform Engineer Cloud

Summary

Join TIMOCOM, a leading IT and data specialist for the logistics industry in Europe, as a Platform Engineer and contribute to the development and operation of their platform cloud solutions. You will be responsible for deploying and operating various platform services, developing and maintaining their internal Kubernetes-based platform, implementing and improving CI/CD pipelines, and utilizing Infrastructure-as-Code (IAC) tools like Terraform. You will also monitor and handle incidents in the platform's cloud infrastructure, explore and test new technologies and cloud services, and collaborate with architects and application managers. Requirements

• You have several years of professional experience in development with Terraform and Kubernetes
• In order for you to communicate well in your team, you have either very good English skills (from C1) or German skills (from C1)
• A high level of quality awareness is important to you - especially with regard to Clean Code, Usability, Terraform State Drifts, DRY Code and functioning CI/CD
• You have in-depth knowledge of using hyperscalers (Azure preferred), Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines and monitoring with Grafana & Prometheus
• You are interested in further training in the areas of Cloud & Multitenancy Architecture and GitOps
• You are also characterized by your strong problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the provision and operation of various platform services according to the Platform Engineering approach
• You further develop the internal Kubernetes-based platform and ensure maintenance and operation
• You are also responsible for the implementation, operation and improvement of CI/CD pipelines for efficient and automated software deployment
• You use Infrastructure-as-Code (IAC) tools such as Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and configuration
• You also operate monitoring and incident handling in the platform's cloud infrastructure
• You are happy to discover and test new technologies and (cloud) services
• You work closely with our architects and application managers on the development, deployment and operation of applications
