Summary

Join Prolific's Cloud Platform team as a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer and play a key role in ensuring our infrastructure remains scalable, reliable, and ready for growth. You will manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters, support compliance with various standards, design and implement automation strategies, and create infrastructure solutions. You'll serve as a technical expert for GCP and Kubernetes, providing support to internal teams. This role requires proven experience with GCP services and architecture, strong knowledge of GKE and Kubernetes, and expertise in Terraform. Requirements

  • Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform services and architecture
  • Strong knowledge in GKE and Kubernetes, including maintenance and optimisation of production clusters
  • Strong experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation
  • Solid programming skills in Python and/or TypeScript
  • Experience creating developer-focused documentation and self-service solutions that enable teams to easily self-serve
  • Strong customer empathy, with a focus on supporting the needs of internal teams (our Prolificos)

Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimise our Kubernetes clusters in GKE through Terraform
  • Support our compliance with SOC2, ISO-27001, and Cyber Essentials standards in our cloud environments
  • Design and implement golden paths and automation strategies that empower developers to self-serve while reducing operational complexity
  • Create and maintain infrastructure solutions that allow development teams to build and deploy safely, easily, and efficiently
  • Serve as the technical point-of-contact for GCP and Kubernetes-related queries, providing expertise to other Prolificos

Preferred Qualifications

  • We’re a multi-cloud team - experience with AWS and CDK is a big plus
  • Experience implementing/maintaining cloud compliance standards (SOC2, ISO-27001)
  • Familiarity with observability tools like Datadog
  • Background in implementing security best practices in cloud infrastructure
