Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Sec+, CISSP, CEH, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in platform systems engineering, with a focus on cybersecurity
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing scalable platform architectures using cloud-based technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, including secure system design, access control, encryption, and vulnerability management
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
  • Hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools and technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, WAF, and endpoint security solutions
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in platform systems
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable platform systems to support business-critical applications and services
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand platform requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Perform system integration, configuration, and testing to ensure seamless operation of platform systems
  • Implement cybersecurity best practices and standards throughout the platform systems architecture
  • Conduct risk assessments and security reviews to identify potential vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies
  • Integrate security controls and mechanisms into platform systems to safeguard against cyber threats
  • Develop and implement automation tools and scripts to streamline platform deployment, configuration, and maintenance tasks
  • Orchestrate platform systems using modern DevOps practices to achieve continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
  • Implement monitoring and alerting mechanisms to proactively identify and address performance and security issues
  • Develop incident response plans and procedures to effectively respond to cybersecurity incidents
  • Conduct forensic analysis of security breaches to identify root causes and recommend preventive measures
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to mitigate security incidents and minimize impact
