Summary
Join Western Digital's research team as a Postdoctoral Researcher to contribute to the exploration of thin film conductive oxides. You will be responsible for the electrical characterization and performance evaluation of devices. This role involves establishing testing setups, defining procedures, writing scripts, and collaborating with team members. The position requires a Ph.D. in a relevant field and 2+ years of professional experience. Successful candidates will possess expertise in semiconductor device physics, programming, and data analysis skills. Requirements
- Ph.D. in physics, electrical engineering, or related field and 2+ years of professional experience
- Expertise in semiconductor device physics
- Extensive programming and scripting experience
- Proven ability to initiate and complete scientific studies
- History of publications in peer reviewed journals
- Strong electrical measurement, data analysis, and device physics skills
- Good collaboration and presentation skills
Responsibilities
- Work as a postdoc part of a small research team exploring thin film conductive oxides for various applications
- Be responsible for the electrical characterization and performance evaluation of devices created in our research cleanroom for these applications
- Establish the testing set up, defining testing procedures, & writing test scripts
- Work closely with other team members to drive decisions on device material improvements and project directions
- Design experimental splits, carrying out electrical measurements, analyzing data, and determining actionable conclusions from the studies
