Summary

We are looking for a skilled Power BI Expert to design, develop, and maintain scalable data systems and pipelines using established and cutting-edge technologies. The Power BI Expert will collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs, design and develop interactive dashboards and reports, perform data extraction, transformation, and loading processes, ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security, and present data to team members in an actionable form. They will also build analysis services reporting models, analyze data to help with decision-making, integrate and alter data from different sources, maintain the Power BI infrastructure, provide training and support to end users, deliver business intelligence services, and lead BI software development.

Requirements

  • Proven experience (6+ years) working as a data analyst, data engineer, or in a similar role
  • Knowledge of data visualization and reporting tools Power BI is a must
  • Proven experience with Power BI, including Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power BI Mobile
  • Experience with SQL, Python, and Perl
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, database design, and SQL
  • Familiarity with integrating data from multiple sources
  • Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts and practices
  • Familiarity with frameworks and libraries for machine learning and artificial intelligence
  • Experience with custom visuals and integrating R or Python in Power BI
  • Knowledge of Power Platform tools like Power Apps and Power Automate
  • Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data systems and pipelines using both established and cutting-edge technologies
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs
  • Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports
  • Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading processes
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security
  • Present data to team members in an actionable form
  • Build analysis services reporting models, and analyze data to help with decision-making
  • Integrate and alter data from different sources
  • Maintain the Power BI infrastructure, and troubleshoot data-related issues
  • Provide training and support to end users on how to use the dashboards and reports
  • Deliver business intelligence services, and lead BI software development

Preferred Qualifications

Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate are highly desirable
