Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of PR & Communications experience, ideally within financial services, PR agencies, or fast-growing companies
- Media Relationships: Established relationships with UK media, combined with a knack for nurturing new connections
- Industry Awareness: Knowledge of trends and key players, including the FCA, UK Finance, Innovate Finance, Labour policy, and others
- Storytelling Expertise: Proven ability to identify and secure impactful media coverage by crafting compelling, accessible stories
- Proactive Mindset: A self-starter with a solutions-oriented approach who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Adaptability: Comfort with ambiguity, change, and matrixed environments, demonstrating resilience and problem-solving skills
- Strategic Planning: Strong organisational and planning abilities, with experience coordinating people, information, and relationships to deliver strategic outcomes
- Technical Proficiency: Confidence in simplifying technical data and complex concepts for diverse audiences

Responsibilities
- Enhance Tide’s Reputation: Build and sustain Tide’s reputation as the leading business platform in the UK through strategic PR and communications initiatives
- Media & Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain and expand relationships with UK media, industry opinion leaders, and other key stakeholders. Stay ahead of shifting trends and opportunities within the UK media landscape
- Content Creation: Draft high-quality press releases, articles, commentary, social media posts, and other PR materials in clear, accessible language
- Multi-Channel Campaigns: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design and execute engaging, UK-focused multi-channel campaigns that elevate our share of voice and support team objectives
- News & Research: Identify news angles and stories by conducting thorough research across a wide range of internal and external sources
- Executive Visibility: Secure and manage speaking opportunities for Tide’s executives, ensuring their visibility is maximised across traditional and social media channels
- Collaborative PR Strategy: Work with Tide’s PR team across multiple markets, as well as Product, Marketing, Member Engagement, Legal, Risk & Compliance, and other teams, to align efforts and share best practices
- Operational Excellence: Support the Head of PR & Communications in enabling a seamless UK PR & Communications operation, including preparing detailed monthly reports and staying updated on reporting trends
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor junior team members, leading in-house training sessions to upskill the team
- Best Practices Development: Create and promote PR & Communications guidelines, ensuring alignment across the organisation through documentation and presentations
