Responsibilities
- Establish and foster relationships with key journalists (media relations), resulting in favorable media coverage and heightened brand visibility
- Develop and execute high-impact PR strategies, aligned with business objectives and brand messaging
- Produce press releases, bylined articles, blogs, Q&As, talking points, holding lines, videos, scripts, and other multichannel content to effectively engage target audiences
- Lead media relations efforts (proactive and reactive) and act as a key point of contact for media
- Take ownership & create engaging press releases, articles, newsletters, marketing materials on related developments, projects & partnerships
- Help coordinate and oversee hosted/sponsored events, such as conferences and industry gatherings, to maximize visibility and engagement

HeavyFinance is a climate technology specialist on a mission to remove 1 gigaton of CO2 emissions by 2050. We enable companies to abate their CO2 emissions by purchasing high-quality soil carbon credits generated in small and medium-sized farms.
HeavyFinance is a team of 60+ specialists in climate change, carbon markets, agriculture and finance. We already facilitated more than 50 million euros to help farmers shift to sustainable agricultural practices addressing over 500.000 CO2 emissions.
As External Communications Lead, you will act as the main press contact and media liaison for the company, responding toΒ press inquiries in a timely manner as spokesperson, and setting up interviews with relevant decision makers in the business.
You will be responsible to
- Establish and foster relationships with key journalists (media relations), resulting in favorable media coverage and heightened brand visibility.
- Develop and execute high-impact PR strategies, aligned with business objectives and brand messaging.
- Produce press releases, bylined articles, blogs, Q&As, talking points, holding lines, videos, scripts, and other multichannel content to effectively engage target audiences.
- Lead media relations efforts (proactive and reactive) and act as a key point of contact for media.
- Take ownership & create engaging press releases, articles, newsletters, marketing materials on related developments, projects & partnerships.
- Help coordinate and oversee hosted/sponsored events, such as conferences and industry gatherings, to maximize visibility and engagement.
- Collaborate closely with the Founder/CEOs to ensure alignment of communication efforts with overall business strategy.
