Pricing Associate

Summary

The job is for a Pricing Associate on the NOAM Insurance team at Cover Genius. The role involves analyzing data efficiently, navigating complex insurance programs, and collaborating with both internal teams and external stakeholders to optimize pricing structure and segmentation, assess financial viability of products, and contribute to product strategy.

Requirements

• Completion of at least 4 SOA/CAS exams and working towards completion of ASA/ACAS is preferred
• At least 1 to 3 years experience working in General Insurance lines of business preferred
• Strong technical, analytical and mathematical skills
• Advanced SQL and Excel skills, demonstrated by the ability to create complex queries, automate data processes, and perform detailed financial analyses
• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Data Science, Statistics or Mathematics

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Insurance and Partner Services team to design and implement unique insurance products
• Analyze the database to monitor existing insurance products to optimize pricing structure and segmentation
• Provide pricing insights and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders to support business decisions
• Contribute to the development and implementation of product strategy through pricing to achieve business objectives, with a keen eye towards ensuring rate adequacy and overall underwriting profitability whilst maximizing CG revenue
• Support the ongoing underwriting performance monitoring with actuarial techniques and assist in the production of loss ratios and other key insurance metrics for different product / market segments
