Requirements

  • Experience: 10+ years of UX/UI design experience, with deep expertise in web and enterprise level designs, particularly in complex systems like advertising platforms
  • Industry expertise: Significant experience in ad-tech
  • Design mastery: A portfolio demonstrating expertise in tackling complex, high-visibility design challenges and an exceptional ability to deliver scalable and impactful solutions
  • Strategic leadership: Visionary thinking capable of driving strategic design decisions, influencing the product direction, and guiding cross-functional teams through ambiguity to deliver clear, valuable outcomes
  • Communication: Exceptional storytelling and persuasion abilities, with a track record of compellingly presenting ideas to leadership and driving buy-in at all levels
  • Mentorship and culture: A demonstrated commitment to mentorship and cultural development, with a history of nurturing talent
  • Proven impact: A track record of industry-leading work and impactful product launches that have shaped product direction at a company-wide level, backed by quantifiable and qualitative evidence of success

Responsibilities

  • Shape the vision: Define the long-term design vision and lead the design strategy of Reddit’s Advertiser Platform, balancing the complexity of advertising needs with simplicity and usability
  • Drive innovation: Stay ahead of the curve by staying informed about the latest ad technologies, design trends and evolving digital ecosystem. Lead efforts to conceptualize non-obvious initiatives to the Ads Platform, pushing the boundaries of user-centric design and exploring opportunities to differentiate Reddit from competitors
  • Design leadership: Translate complex ideas into scalable, intuitive design solutions that elevate the user experience for advertisers and account managers at scale
  • Full lifecycle ownership: Take the lead at every stage of the design lifecycle from ideation to delivery, ensuring high-quality execution that balances innovation with usability
  • User-centric design: Deeply understand the diverse needs of advertisers across market segments and verticals, and translate insights into intuitive, impactful design solutions
  • Influence across teams: Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and UX researchers, driving consensus and effectively communicating design ideas to senior leadership and stakeholders
  • Mentorship: Cultivate a culture of learning and growth within the design team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment while developing the next generation of design talent
