Join Dandy, a leading dental technology company, as a Principal Product Manager to spearhead the development of AI and CAD-based digital shade and color design systems. You will define and execute the product vision, collaborating with engineering, design, and operations teams. Responsibilities include building a novel system with the automated manufacturing team, deeply understanding user workflows, conducting market research, and driving cross-functional alignment. Success hinges on managing the product lifecycle, leveraging data insights, and interfacing with third-party vendors. This is a high-impact position requiring significant experience and expertise in product management and 3D/CAD design systems.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in product management, managing software products through the full lifecycle from MVP to general release and subsequent iterations
  • Experience building 3D and /or CAD design systems
  • High bias-to-action. You regularly knock down barriers and get things done, quickly
  • Ability to drive alignment across many cross-functional stakeholders
  • Technical competence and comfort-level. You can discuss APIs and services with the engineering team (but you don’t need to be able to code)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
  • Proven ability to think strategically, develop product roadmaps, and execute against them to deliver impactful results

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the product vision for our shade design systems, setting a long-term direction aligned with company priorities and customer needs
  • Partner with CAD, ML, and full-stack engineering teams to deliver scalable, high-performance tools that enable accurate, fast, and intuitive shade design
  • Build a novel system in coordination with our automated manufacturing team
  • Deeply understand user workflows—especially those of internal designers—and translate complex needs into clear, actionable product requirements
  • Conduct customer discovery, market research, and competitive analysis to inform roadmap decisions and identify opportunities to innovate
  • Drive cross-functional alignment and decision-making across stakeholders, ensuring transparency, clarity, and momentum on key initiatives
  • Manage the full product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and iteration, in a highly agile and collaborative environment
  • Use data and qualitative insights to measure impact, communicate results, and continuously refine the product direction
  • Interface with third-party vendors and partners as needed to evaluate and integrate complementary technologies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience at an operationally-intensive company
  • Comfort with writing SQL queries
  • Previous experience in the dental or medical industries
  • Previous experience partnering closely with an Engineering Leader, and/or working as a software engineer
