Summary

Join ALTEN Technology USA as a Principal Supply Chain Manager and drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers to enhance quality, reduce costs, and improve delivery performance. This pivotal role involves building strong supplier relationships, conducting assessments, and implementing strategies aligned with company objectives. You will develop and execute supplier development strategies, collaborate with cross-functional teams, conduct supplier audits, lead training programs, and monitor performance metrics. The position can be remote with 50% travel, and a salary range of $185K-$270K is offered.

Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelorโ€™s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field
  • Have a minimum of 25 years of experience in supplier development, quality assurance, or supply chain management
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Show proficiency in project management and process improvement methodologies
  • Have knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma)
  • Be familiar with supply chain management software and tools (SAP)
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute supplier development strategies to enhance performance and capabilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify supplier Quality & Delivery issues and implement corrective actions
  • Conduct supplier assessments, audits, and performance reviews to ensure compliance with Rolls-Royce SABRE requirements
  • Lead training and development programs for suppliers to improve quality and delivery
  • Monitor and report on supplier performance metrics, driving accountability and improvement
  • Foster strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders to facilitate communication and collaboration
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in supplier development and supply chain management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hold a Masterโ€™s degree
  • Have Rolls-Royce Experience
  • Be located in Indianapolis, IN
