Summary

Join ServiceNow's Design team as a Design Program Manager and lead the execution and delivery of flexible and holistic programs and processes. You will manage a portfolio, ensuring consistency and best practices across multiple cross-functional teams. The role requires strong leadership to solve problems, drive implementation of large programs, and build strategic relationships with stakeholders. Mentoring junior team members is also a key responsibility. Compensation includes a base pay of $217,500 - $380,700, plus equity, variable compensation, and benefits such as health plans, a 401(k) plan, ESPP, and flexible time away.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the portfolio and create scale, be a force multiplier across the portfolio and work with Design Managers to ensure a level of consistency and best practices that Senior Leadership can rely on
  • Provide strong leadership by reframing problems when the team is faced with ambiguity, obstacles/deadlocks and steer them towards solving prioritized problems
  • Drive implementation of large, high visibility programs that span multiple cross-functional teams within ServiceNow
  • Influence entire cross-functional program management organization with well-defined processes and best practice to improve the efficiency in program execution
  • Building strategic relationships - manage numerous stakeholders, anticipate their needs, and gain alignment for strategies from executive level stakeholders
  • Lead and mentor junior members of team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry
  • 15+ years of project/program management experience in mid/large size companies, ideally on a design team
  • 15 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 12 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 8 years experience; or equivalent experience
  • Experience in quality engineering architecture, test automation architecture, or software development
  • Strong programming experience with Java, JavaScript, and Selenium WebDriver
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional programs using formal TPM practices (timeline planning, stakeholder coordination, risk tracking, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience testing AI/ML models, pipelines, and related data workflows
  • Familiarity with ML frameworks like TensorFlow, scikit-learn, or PyTorch
  • Is able to successfully architect, execute on and evangelize vision and longer-term operational strategies in conjunction with cross-functional leadership
  • Relies on experience, wealth of industry knowledge and trends to proactively champion future possibilities and directions to leadership
  • Educates senior leaders across the company about their discipline and its value, and advises on current trends and future possibilities with the goal of advancing the industry through contributions to trade events and publications
  • Experience working on and managing large projects or programs with cross-functional teams
  • Deliver solutions and strategies while mitigating or removing obstacles
  • Experience utilizing software to keep projects organized, track metrics, and report on progress
