Product Architect

Summary

Join Xray, a leading test management solution for Jira users, as a Product Architect for Xray and Xporter. You will provide technical leadership and architectural direction for multiple software development teams, ensuring high-quality, fast-cycle software implementations. As the Product Architect, you will own all technical aspects of the assigned products, including maintaining and improving their architectural integrity and evolution. You will collaborate with the Product Management Team and other stakeholders, contributing to the product roadmap, requirements, and release schedule. This role requires a deep understanding of software development, experience with Xray and Xporter products, and mastery of various programming languages and key technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a related field
• 4+ years of experience building successful production software systems
• Deep understanding of software development in a team, and a track record of shipping high-quality software on time
• Ability to take raw product requirements and develop software architectures and designs to bring products to life
• Mastery of the tools of the trade, including a variety of programming languages and key technologies ( e.g. , MongoDB , React , Node.js )
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Ability to communicate design rationale and build consensus
• Ability to prioritize and manage work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment
• Highly organized in a manner to achieve effective communication and drive successful results from self and team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to explain technical issues to non-technical English-speaking individuals
• Desire to be challenged and achieve results in a successful technical and business environment

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of both the product code base through hands-on experimentation and exploration
• Assess and shepherd the technical delivery of products to ensure adherence with best practices
• Drive continual improvement of development processes
• Collaborate with the Product Management Team and other stakeholders, contributing to the product roadmap, product requirements, and product release schedule
• Identify gaps in the technical aspects of the end user experience
• Estimate software development requirements and effort, propose alternatives, and prioritize development tasks for a given area

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Xray and Xporter products is highly desirable
• Experience with AWS and EKS (Kubernetes) is highly valued
