Join Fundraise Up, a global fundraising platform, as a Design Lead and contribute to our mission of making donations to nonprofits seamless and accessible. You will organize the design team's work, mentor designers, foster a strong design culture, and present design decisions. Responsibilities include managing outstaffed resources, developing user scenarios, and designing interfaces. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience as a design lead and 6+ years as a designer, along with a strong portfolio and B2 English level. Requirements
- Attention to detail and punctuality
- At least 1 year of experience as a design lead in a product team
- 6+ years of experience as a designer
- A strong portfolio
- English level B2
Responsibilities
- Organizing the work of the design team, planning tasks for sprints and setting project timelines
- Mentoring, working with a competency matrix, and planning professional development
- Motivating designers and fostering a strong design culture
- Presenting and defending design decisions
- Organizing processes and day-to-day routines in collaboration with stakeholders and other departments
- Managing work with outstaffed resources
- Developing user scenarios, designing interfaces, and creating layouts and prototypes
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a remote-first, globally distributed team
- Experience with performance monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)
- A genuine interest in the non-profit technology sector
- A hypothesis-driven mindset and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Curiosity and a hypothesis-driven mindset
- Ability to communicate complex analytical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership
- Comfort working in fast-paced, data-rich environments
