Summary

You will organize the design team's work, plan sprints, set project timelines, and mentor designers. Responsibilities include presenting design decisions, managing outstaffed resources, and developing user scenarios and interfaces. The ideal candidate has 6+ years of design experience, including at least 1 year as a design lead, a strong portfolio, and B2 English proficiency. Requirements

  • Attention to detail and punctuality
  • At least 1 year of experience as a design lead in a product team
  • 6+ years of experience as a designer
  • A strong portfolio
  • English level B2

Responsibilities

  • Organizing the work of the design team, planning tasks for sprints and setting project timelines
  • Mentoring, working with a competency matrix, and planning professional development
  • Motivating designers and fostering a strong design culture
  • Presenting and defending design decisions
  • Organizing processes and day-to-day routines in collaboration with stakeholders and other departments
  • Managing work with outstaffed resources
  • Developing user scenarios, designing interfaces, and creating layouts and prototypes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working in a remote-first, globally distributed team
  • Experience with performance monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)
  • A genuine interest in the non-profit technology sector
  • A hypothesis-driven mindset and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
