Summary
Join Okendo, a customer marketing platform, as a Product Designer to create intuitive and effective product experiences across its platform. You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, and designers, leading design processes from concept to implementation. The ideal candidate possesses 3-7+ years of UI/UX design experience in SaaS or tech, a strong portfolio, and experience with design systems (Figma). Based in Australia, you will work remotely and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. Frontend engineering skills (React, HTML/CSS, Tailwind) are a plus. Requirements
- 3β7+ years of experience in a UI/UX design role (preferably in SaaS or tech)
- Based in Australia with the right to work in Australia indefinitely and without sponsorship
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of product design work
- Experience working with design systems (we use Figma)
- Familiarity with usability testing and UX research methods
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Self-starter who thrives in a remote, fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and client management skills
- Excellent market research skills and keen understanding of how visual layouts affect user experiences
- Understanding of visual hierarchy creation
- Experience working with content management systems, such as WordPress
- BSc/MSc in Product Design, Computer Science, or other relevant field
- Previous experience with Shopify or e-Commerce
Responsibilities
- Design polished, user-friendly interfaces that align with Okendoβs design system and brand
- Lead and execute end-to-end design processes: discovery, research, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, and handoff
- Conduct user testing and integrate feedback into product decisions
- Work closely with engineers to ensure high-quality implementation of your designs
- Help evolve and scale our design systems, patterns, and processes
- Collaborate cross-functionally across product, engineering, marketing, and customer success
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, design excellence, and user empathy
Preferred Qualifications
Comfortable collaborating with engineers; bonus if you can contribute to frontend development (React, HTML/CSS, Tailwind, etc.)
