Product Designer

Summary

Join Teachable, a dynamic, cross-cultural team, as a Product Designer to shape the future of our iOS and Android apps. You will own the end-to-end design process, crafting seamless and impactful experiences for our creators' audiences. This role involves leading design from ideation to launch, collaborating with product and engineering teams, and advocating for user needs while meeting business goals. You will conduct user research, refine designs, iterate post-launch, and ensure a cohesive experience across platforms. The ideal candidate possesses 2+ years of professional product design experience, including native mobile app design, and a strong understanding of mobile best practices. Requirements

• 2+ years of professional product design experience, including native mobile app design work
• A strong understanding of native mobile best practices and customer needs, with the ability to translate them into engaging and actionable deliverables
• Effective partnership with engineering counterparts
• Expertise in visual design principles such as consistency, color, typography, responsive layout, and animation
• Effective storytelling and communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong English-speaking skills
• A portfolio with case studies showcasing your product design work
• A strong desire to create great user experiences

Responsibilities

• Design mobile experiences that are simple, seamless, and delightful
• Conduct research to understand user needs and inform design decisions
• Advocate for the user while considering business goals
• Own your work from idea to launch, including sketching, testing, and iteration
• Conduct experiments to fine-tune designs
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure everyone is informed
• Evaluate the effectiveness of designs and identify areas for improvement
