Product Designer

Summary

Join RB Global's Technology team as a Product Designer and lead small to medium-sized design projects from start to finish. You will independently solve design problems, conduct user research, and mentor junior designers. This role requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, translating business goals into user experiences. You will utilize advanced design tools and methodologies, showcasing a deep understanding of user-centered design. The ideal candidate possesses 4+ years of experience in product design and a portfolio demonstrating impactful projects.

Responsibilities

• Successfully lead small to medium-sized design projects from conception to completion
• Mentor junior designers, providing feedback and support
• Plan and conduct user research and usability testing, to inform or validate design decisions
• Facilitate design brainstorming sessions with stakeholders and team members
• Translate business goals into cohesive user experiences, balancing user and business needs
• Regularly collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Developers, and other Stakeholders. Take initiative in meetings to share insights, present design solutions, and advocate for user needs
• Independently design and deliver design solutions, supported by user stories and journeys, and optimized for a wide range of devices
• Experience working within and extending design systems
• Define initial metrics to validate the success of design solutions
• Make informed decisions on information architecture
