Product Designer, UI

Summary

Join NBCUniversal's Product Experience team as a Product Designer, UI, collaborating with product managers, developers, and fellow designers to create engaging and accessible UI solutions for SportsEngine products. You will design features and enhancements for web and mobile apps, ensuring design consistency across products. The ideal candidate possesses strong UI design skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience with transactional and e-commerce platforms. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge, award-winning initiatives within a dynamic and innovative environment. As part of the selection process, an in-person interview may be required. Note that although you'll be hired as an NBCU employee, your employment will likely transition to Versant in the future.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Information Architecture, Design, or related field
• 3+ years of professional experience as a UI Designer
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present design concepts clearly and effectively
• Experience with transactional and ecommerce platforms
• Knowledge of Apple (HIG) Human Interface Guidelines and Google Material Design
• Understand W3C web and accessibility standards
• Expert in design tools, including Figma
• Proficiency in rapid prototyping to visualize and validate UI concepts efficiently
• Experience with continuous design, A/B testing and iteration
• Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of UI design projects, with a focus on user-centered design

Responsibilities

• Work with UX, Product Management, and Engineering teams to design usable products for the SportsEngine platform and related products
• Understand business objectives and user needs
• Use research and data to understand the problems that need to be solved and to drive design execution
• Ensure consistency in UI design across products by adhering to and contributing to design systems
• Produce visual assets including icons, and instructional illustrations when necessary
• Modify products in accordance with feedback from users and test groups
• Gather feedback and collaborate across multiple cross functional partners
• Work closely with developers to ensure design integrity is maintained during implementation
• Watch consumer trends to identify desirable product traits
• Able to work on multiple tracks and pivot from one project to another
• Maintain a critical eye and obsessive attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with sports-related platforms or apps
