Requirements
- 3+ years of UI design experience, with at least 2 years focused on building and managing design systems for B2B or Enterprise applications
- Proven expertise in creating and implementing variables, primitive, and semantic tokens in design systems
- Portfolio showcasing at least two design systems and how it was used in projects
- Advanced proficiency in design tools (Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD) and prototyping tools
- Deep knowledge of design tokens, including primitive (e.g., color, typography, spacing) and semantic (e.g., brand-specific, component-specific, or contextual) tokens
- Experience with token management and version control for design systems
- Basic understanding of front-end development (Angular, React, etc) to collaborate effectively with developers
- Expertise in accessibility standards (WCAG)
Responsibilities
- Design System Development: Architect and maintain robust design systems, including component libraries, style guides, and documentation, with a focus on variables, primitive, and semantic tokens
- Token Architecture: Define and implement design tokens (primitive and semantic) to ensure scalability, consistency, and adaptability across platforms and themes
- Component Design: Create reusable, accessible, and responsive UI components using tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD, leveraging token-based design principles
- Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to align design systems with business objectives and technical constraints
- Documentation: Produce clear, comprehensive documentation for design systems, including token usage, component guidelines, and best practices
- Governance & Adoption: Establish governance processes to ensure consistent use of design systems and tokens across teams and projects
- Mentorship: Mentor fellow designers, promoting best practices in design systems and token-based workflows
- Innovation: Stay current with industry trends, tools, and advancements in design systems and token methodologies
