Product Engineer

Summary

Causal is seeking a senior product engineer to help build their number crunching tool, addressing engineering and UX challenges for the interface and dashboarding features. The engineer will also understand customer needs, translate functional requirements into code, set up processes for team success, and contribute to product direction. Ideal candidates have software engineering experience, start-up experience, familiarity with Causal's tech stack, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or another quantitative field. Requirements

• Have 2+ years software engineering experience building complex products
• Have experience at a Series A - D start-up
• Have experience with (parts of) Causal's frontend tech stack: React/Redux/Apollo/Typescript
• Be able to write clean + maintainable code with attention to performance
• Be comfortable shipping features end-to-end
• Have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or another quantitative field

Responsibilities

• Help build Causal's number crunching tool
• Solve engineering/UX problems for the interface
• Allow users to create beautiful charts and tables
• Understand product and customer needs in detail
• Translate functional requirements into maintainable, well-tested, and performant code
• Help set up processes to guarantee the long-term success of Causal's engineering team
• Play a crucial role in setting the direction of Causal's product and company
