Requirements

  • 4+ years experience as an engineering leader with a track record of translating ambiguous business requirements into scalable solutions and new product features
  • Strong leadership skills with an ability to inspire, motivate, mentor, and retain top engineering talent
  • Proven ability to influence without authority (e.g., driving process improvements, spearheading architecture enhancements, etc.)
  • Familiarity with web application development, API design and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP)
  • Strong sense of ownership and proactive problem-solving mindset

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical oversight and drive new features with a focus on Garner’s strategic mission
  • Build a high-performance team by mentoring, providing feedback, and hiring
  • Continuously strive for quality while maintaining speed of delivery
  • Collaborate across disciplines by identifying bottlenecks and risks, proposing mitigation, and communicating tradeoffs
  • Protect our users’ privacy and security through best practices
