Product Manager

Summary

Join Granicus as a Manager, Product Management and lead product owners across four geographically hybrid scrum teams. You will execute against a govDelivery roadmap crucial to Granicus's platform innovation strategy. Support a team of engineers, product owners, and designers throughout the product lifecycle, designing systems and processes for effective team delivery. Gather business requirements, build product vision, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve goals. This role requires proven success in communication, presentation, and selling ideas to senior executives, along with mentoring other team members. Requirements

• 4+ combined years in Product Management
• Fluency in JIRA and Aha!

Responsibilities

• Support a team of world-class engineers, product owners and designers throughout product lifecycle
• Develops and maintains a near-real time picture of concept attainment across 4 scrum teams, including the “why” behind the attainment in relation to levers like initial estimates, velocity, scope change, concept status, etc
• Leads POs and govD teams in effective program increment planning on a quarterly basis
• Develops operations excellence to promote health and hygiene of the govD backlogs and releases across value streams (e.g. security vulnerabilities, CSIs, support, etc.)
• Facilitates effective cross-functional communications across product management, engineering, cloud, support, implementation, solutions consulting, and customer success teams
• Effectively manages tradeoffs associated with delivering roadmap concepts and maintaining the products, engaging senior leadership to support in decision-making when necessary
• Sets high expectations related to PO command of the govD tools and how they are intended to work
• Leads daily standups, in partnership with govD Director, across PM and POs to facilitate effective govD roadmap planning and attainment
• Proven success in communicating, presenting, and selling ideas to senior executives
• Act as a mentor and resource to other Product team members
• Participate in the continuous improvement and scaling of Product Management best practices at Granicus
• Responsible for Granicus information security by appropriately preserving the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) of Granicus information assets in accordance with the company's information security program
• Responsible for ensuring the data privacy of our employees and customers, their data, as well as taking all required privacy training in a timely manner, in accordance with company policies

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in marketing automation and/or digital engagement platforms
• Demonstrated ability to build quantitative business cases and financial models
• Demonstrated experience with complex, transformational roadmap initiatives
• Experience delivering high-quality technology products/services in a fast-moving environment where priorities and structures shift rapidly
• Success working in an agile environment
• High level of intellectual curiosity drives you to ask great questions and seek supporting data to interpret the most important needs of the product
• Excellent organizational and quantitative analytical skills
• Technical depth that enables you to understand and earn the respect of the engineers you work with
• Ability to break the long-term vision down into specific, manageable deliverables that deliver user value as quickly as possible
• Ability to think strategically with the capacity to expand customer use cases into platform-wide requirements
• Demonstrated success in working with cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication skills regardless of the audience — software engineers, product designers, business stakeholders, users, etc
